Dear Anna,
Today you are 5 years old....it is really hard to believe that 5 short years have gone by!
You came 3 weeks early! I went in to see Dr. Dewane for my weekly checkup and he told me to meet him at the hospital. Daddy and Samuel were with me, so we had to take Samuel to Aunt Amy's house and then head to the hospital. When I arrived, our sweet nurse Dana met us in the hallway. She began to prepare me for your arrival. Pa, Na, and Papa were on their way from Byrdstown...and apparently Pa was driving pretty fast! Within just a couple of hours, you arrived! Oh Anna....you immediately stole my heart when I saw you for the first time....you had the heaven smell all over you!
You have brought so much joy and laughter to our home. You are a true servant and you have a servant's heart. You are so concerned with others and want others to feel loved and cared for. That does not come natural for a child of your age....that must be a special gift that God has given you. You bring laughter to so many situations....your personality lightens up a room! I love your memory....you remember so many things and pay close attention to detail.
Some of your favorite things right now: Daddy and Samuel, Barbies, horses, cowgirl boots, popsicles, Moe's, chips, salad, french fries with lots of ketchup, milk, Star Wars, your Na, Pa, your cousin Molly, church, singing and dancing, violin, gymnastics, coloring, Ninny, swimming, vacations and hotel, all things pink, riding your bicycle, gowns, and Momma.
We are so proud of you Anna. You are just the little girl that we asked Jesus for. It is our prayer that you will give your heart to Jesus soon.....that you will grow in His grace and mercy, learn to study the Word with your eyes continually on Jesus. You are so precious....my heart loves you.....Happy Birthday Sugar Girl.....
Daddy, Momma, and Samuel
Some of your names: Fo Fo, Goo Goo, Fo Fo Weena, Sweet Sang, Sugar Girl

so so precious.
Happy Birthday, Anna, you look so much like your momma did when she was five. She also loved many of the same things you do--especially playing with Barbies and eating popsicles. She was quite a singer and dancer too, so I guess you are just like her!
