So we decided to take another trip to Disney World in February....and we surprised the kids! They had absolutely NO idea! Our flight from Memphis left at 2pm on Saturday Feb 2nd. I had packed nothing.....nothing! We got the kids up at 8am and told them that we had a puzzle for them to put together. Immediately Anna said "we are going to Disney".....to which I played down to the fact that Daddy does not get to see them do many fun things from school so I wanted them to work a word puzzle for him. The envelopes were given to them, 3 each and when they worked together it read "We are going to Disney TODAY!" Anna started screaming and jumping and sweet little Samuel cried and could not stop shaking. It was a moment to remember for sure. So, we went to packing like crazy!
The time of year that we went was supposed to a great time with weather and crowds. The weather was awesome.....the crowds...well not so much. It was summer break for the South American countries....and well we found ourselves most days surrounded by thousands that could not speak English...and the lines were incredibly long. But we had a GREAT time!
Below is a picture in one of our favorite character meals, with Cinderella's family. The Wicked Stepmother was awesome, as you can tell by her smile. She came right over the table and told the kids to "eat up" and clean their plates. She was impressed that Anna had broccoli on her plate.
Here's Akerhus Restaurant with Ariel. This is the first time we have seen her in her real dress. Samuel asked her how she liked being without her tail....and she said it was easier to dance with Prince Eric without the tail.
Back to Cinderella's family....well this stepsister was ready to marry Samuel. She came straight to him and began to ask how old he was and that age 9 was perfect because he could start saving for a big ring for her. Then picture time.....well you can see. He was so mad at all of us because we could not stop laughing. And the stepsister could not stop looking at him!
And this was one just mean. She told Anna that she needed to work on her chores....and showed her how to wash windows by putting her hands in a circular motion.
Can I just say....that "the ball" is one of Samuel and Anna's favorite rides? Yes, it is.
Anna with her Fairy Godmother in training, Caroline. This was at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique....
Tusker House in Animal Kingdom for breakfast.....we love this one as well and find ourselves going back each time we visit!
Rafiki....
He was the sweetest "fuzzy" character there.....precious
At Chef Mickey's....to meet Pluto!
And Goofy!
And Minnie!
Without a doubt, Disney World has become our favorite vacation spot. We just love it....and what is not to love! This time we stayed at Coronado Springs and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We hope that the next time we go back.....our whole family goes with us!
