Dear Samuel,
Happy Birthday to my sweet love! 5 years ago your daddy and I were waiting so patiently to see your face for the very first time....we were so excited! It was on a Thursday and we had to be at the hospital at 5am...we did not sleep much anyway so getting up was no big deal. We arrived and your daddy was beaming as we waited. The nurse, Emily, got me ready and hooked up to several machines so we could watch your heartbeat. Dr. DeWane came in and decided to sit on my bed and wait for you because you were giving us a slight scare....apparently you wanted to stay nice and cozy in my tummy! Then at 10:34am....it was time for us to see you! I cried and Daddy was so excited.....Dr. DeWane let me hold you for a minute before Emily took you to clean you up.....you were so beautiful!
Samuel...you have been such a joy to us, to all of us. You are so much fun and you have such a sweet little heart. We have enjoyed watching you grow and we love playing ball, tractors, trucks, games, racecars, and everything else with you. You have touched my heart in such a special way. How could a Mommy get so lucky to have such a little boy like you? I thank Jesus for you everyday sweet boy....you warm my heart and make me smile each day. Thank you for being mommy and daddy's sweet boy.....Happy Birthday love.....
